SmartKnit X-STATIC diabetic socks are made from X-STATIC silver fibers. SmartKnit diabetic socks combine the patented diabetic sock seam-free design with the high-tech antibacterial silver fibers of X-STATIC. The silver fibers in SmartKnit X-STATIC diabetic socks help inhibit odor-causing bacteria and work to provide a hygienic sock environment.

SmartKnit X-STATIC Diabetic Socks Feature:
* Seamless design? - It helps in preventing blister-causing pressure points often caused by bulky and uncomfortable sock seams.
* High stretch core spun yarns? - Socks fit like a second skin, with no wrinkling or bunching, which helps reduce the chances of circulation restriction.
* Non-binding elastic band? - The free top helps prevent painful leg indentations caused by elastic bands that are too tight.
* X-STATIC silver fibers? - They inhibit odor-causing bacteria, promote wound healing, and are thermodynamic (cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter).
* Latex-free material
* USA manufacturing
* Machine wash warm. Tumble dry low. No Bleach.

Measuring Guide for Compression Stockings

Measuring your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery:.

  • For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then, measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
  • For thigh-high and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then, measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).

An Important Measuring Tip...
If swelling is an issue with you, measure your legs, first thing in the morning, after you get out of bed. This is when swelling is at a minimum, and the size of your legs should remain once the swelling is eliminated. Each of our compression products has a sizing chart on the product page.

Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approx. 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.

Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings. Keep in mind that each manufacturer of support hose has their own sizing chart. A medium size in one brand of circulation stockings, may not be a medium in another. Some brands of compression stockings offer petite (shorter) lengths, while others do not. Knowing your measurements will ensure you get compression hosiery that fits properly and comfortably.

    My kids where these all of the time! They can't stand socks that have seams to I did a quick google search for socks without seams, and came across these cute pairs. They have them in a few different colors, these seem to be very durable, and best of all, they're comfortable!

    I'm a diabetic that MUST wear diabetic stockings. Out of all of the brands I could choose, I go with Therafirm's SmartKnit. This is saying a lot because I've very picky when it comes to how many socks feel.

    My 6 year old wears the kids line, and I think it will be hard to get him to wear socks with seams, as he gets older, but then again, why should he half to? Some people are just very particular about how their socks, myself included.
